1 c Milk
1 c Shortening (OR 1/2 lb.
-butter)
1 c Sugar
1 ts Vanilla
1/2 ts Salt
Boil flour and milk until thick and let cool. Then add the remaining to
flour mixture and beat until fluffy:
I also used 2 , 9-inch square pans instead of 3 , 8-inch
